In order to help civilians in Ukraine, the World Wind Energy Association WWEA together with the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association, the Global 100% Renewable Energy Platform Global100RE, and in collaboration with other partners such as EKOenergy and Ruslana, have launched the initiative #Renewables4Ukraine to supply power independently from the national grid, after all, small and stand-alone solar systems including batteries, power banks etc. As of today, more than 300'000 € have been raised.

Ukraine has huge wind and solar potential. The use of renewable energy sources is a significant contribution to the energy independence of Ukraine, it is a response to the current challenges of russia’s energy terror. Ukraine’s wind power sector keeps growing amidst the ongoing war. 238 MW have been constructed and commissioned in Ukraine since the beginning of the war.

The event will present the current status of the initiative and also present investment opportunities in Ukraine. Heads of leading wind companies in Ukraine will share their experience and plans for future wind development.
